Non-profit Macomb Literacy Partners (MLP) recruits, trains and pairs volunteer literacy tutors with adults who need help improving their reading and writing skill or need to learn the English language.  Tutor and students meet weekly at libraries throughout Macomb County at a time that's convenient for both of them.  MLP provides support to tutors with workshops, lesson planning assistance and supplies materials at the students reading level.  Giving just 2 hours per week, tutoring at your local library, you can change someone's life!  Help a Macomb County resident get a better job, assist their child with homework for the first time, or be able to read the directions on their prescription medication.  Help a family break the generational cycle of illiteracy, and improve their economic outlook!  You can do it and we need your help!
