Mission Statement

The mission of Anna McKenney Intermediate School is to cultivate academic excellence, citizenship, self-esteem, responsibility, commitment and values by:

- Providing each student with the tools to reach his/her fullest potential to succeed at home, school, and community; providing recognition for student successes; providing an opportunity for students to speak and be heard; and by providing equal access to the curriculum for all students.

- Providing each staff member with an environment conducive to teaching and learning; providing each staff member with the skills to offer access to students through excellence in curriculum; and to strengthen staff commitment and involvement in the school's quest for excellence.

- Providing opportunities for all parents to become involved with the school and its students; and promoting values and responsibilities at home and at school.

- Providing community awareness of the goals of the school and its educational process.
