Mission:
The mission of the Mechanicsburg Area School District through the collaborative efforts of students, staff, parents, and the community is:

To promote relentlessly the processes of acquiring and applying knowledge,skills, and attitudes required for all students to become lifelong learners;

Technology is very important as a vehicle for enhancing student learning and preparation for the world of work.

Education must be related to future career goals and provide students with the "tools" for lifelong learning.

Responsibility for education is shared by students, parents, teachers, administrators and the community.

Students must learn to work cooperatively in the learning process, as well as be competitive when appropriate.

Students learn in a variety of ways, therefore an assortment of instructional techniques must be used.

The educational process should nurture student movement toward self-discipline, self-motivation, and self-direction.
