The Mechanicville Area Community Services Center was founded in 1969 when a group of parents leveraged community resources to provide a safe and supervised place for youth to go to after school, on weekends and during summer vacations. Over the years, programs and services have expanded to meet the needs of community youth and families.
Today the Center is a key provider of health and human services to Southern Saratoga and Northern Rensselaer counties serving of 6,000 area residents a year. The Mechanicville Area Community Services Center offers comprehensive human services to the greater Mechanicville Area.
The Center provides an assortment of programs and activities that meet community needs and promote community involvement in recreation, cultural activities, education, health and family life activities.
The Center also offers a before and after school programs for school age children and youth. We provide opportunities for living, learning and leading full and productive lives, along with homework assistance.
The Center is available to the general public for special events. All events have a rental fee, deposits, insurance requirements, and City permits/licenses for different types of usage. Renters and event attendees are required to comply with City rules and regulations. For more information on renting a facility, call 664-8322 from 9 am-4 pm, Monday through Friday.
