Monaca Fire consists of Monaca #4 Volunteer Fire Department and Monaca #5 Volunteer Fire Company. Monaca is a small community approximately 25 miles north of Pittsburgh. Monaca Fire services approximately 6,000 people within its jurisdiction. On average, the department can expect to run around 130 calls per year. Monaca Fire is stationed on the Monaca heights, also known as “on the hill”, split between two stations. In addition to serving its community, Monaca Fire also responds to neighboring communities for such services as R.I.T. and Air Supply. Both departments within Monaca Fire are all volunteer and each have approximately 25 members.
