In the 1990s, Moon's Tree Farm began on the old family farm owned by brothers, Lynn Moon and Norman Moon. With his knowledge from years of experimental growing techniques and problem-solving as a grower, Dwayne Moon (Lynn's son) began to propagate liners for the farm. This enabled Moon's Tree Farm to have the unique ability to control the quality of the tree-growing process from a tree's beginning through the time the trees are dug and delivered to the customer.
For many years, it has been the vision of the Moon family to expand its operation to a larger farm. In 2007, their vision was realized when they purchased a second farm in Washington, Georgia, which is about 90 miles east of the original farm. Today, between the two farms, Moon's Tree Farm grows over 60 different varieties of top-quality trees on approximately 250 acres.
While Moon's Tree Farm has grown over the years and has earned a reputation for growing top-quality trees, we still try to meet the needs of each and every customer on a daily basis. If you have not been out to our farm lately, please consider setting up an appointment to tour the new farm out in Washington.
