Our congregation was founded in 1820. We are the second oldest Church of the Brethren congregation in Indiana. We served as a mother church by starting other congregations: Locust Grove, White Branch, Olive Branch, and Buck Creek.
While we are a small group, we remain active with the Nettle Creek Food Pantry; administer a diaper pantry; participate in a local, yearly work camp called Neighbors Helping Neighbors; have an annual Smörgåsbord from which we fund Christmas presents for needy families; and work on special projects like hygiene and household kits for Church World Service.
We currently have three adult Sunday School classes, and two children's classes.
We are a warm and friendly congregation that follows Jesus. We celebrate God's love for everyone, and we invite the Holy Spirit's empowering presence.
