New Castle School has an excellent, dedicated staff who provide a developmentally appropriate education for every student. Each child can learn and grow to his or her potential in a warm, but structured atmosphere. Our focus is on improving the academic achievement of all students while nurturing their social and emotional development. The academic programs give our students a solid foundation in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. The staff has extensive training in new methods and strategies that support the district's curricula and the state's performance standards. We have a wealth of materials and equipment to support teaching and learning in our classrooms. The focus of our programs are the students. Parents and community members are vital partners in everything we do. Many volunteers are in the buildings daily working with children and staff. Parents also serve on our school Student Achievement Team and have a voice in school-based decision making.
