A wide range of vegetables, fruits, and herbs seasonally harvested from our 3 acres of hand-worked gardens. Pickup options on the farm, in Hayward, or during the farmer's market in Cable. Detailed brochure about our CSA, including list of produce raised, is available by request.
North Star Homestead Farms is uniquely located on a historic homestead tucked in the Chequamegon National Forest. Restored and re-visioned by a family of three women, N* provides local food to Hayward, Cable, and the surrounding community via CSA, farmer's market, and direct sales of poultry, lamb, pork, eggs, honey, produce, and bakery. We also coordinate a natural foods buying club and produce custom gardening services for individuals and restaurants.
Our mission is to provide our local community with foods raised in a responsible, chemical-free, humane, and sustainable manner while living and working in harmony with the Northwoods enviornment. We constantly strive to decrease our carbon footprint and increase our green strategies for connecting consumers with healthy and natural products.
