Ojai Shakespeare Festival Mission Statement:

To Engage, Enrich And Enchant

Ojai Shakespeare Festival is a non-profit, community-based organization which brings to life the language, music and spirit of Shakespeare for audiences of all ages.

Through both adult and youth Festival productions, educational outreach programs, school performances and reading groups, Ojai Shakespeare Festival provides the residents of Ventura and Santa Barbara counties exciting ways to appreciate and explore Shakespeare and the classics. By bringing these timeless stories to the community, Ojai Shakespeare Festival fosters a love of live theater and educates future generations on the importance of including theater, music and art in their everyday lives.

Ojai Shakespeare Festival is committed to promoting theater as a viable profession. The Youth Intern Program offers intensive acting, technical and musical training programs for students ages 13 to 18, culminating in an intern production during the summer festival. Ojai Shakespeare Festival also offers college intern programs for both actors and technicians to further the education of aspiring theater professionals.

Ojai Shakespeare Festival reaches out to engage our community in exploration of our culture and history, to enrich our lives through excellent educational programs, and to enchant audiences with outstanding productions of the works of William Shakespeare and other classic playwrights.
