Mission:

This mission of the Oneida Nation School is to illustrate and reflect the world as it is, as it has been, and as it can be in the natural presence of Mother Earth and all living and non-living inhabitants. Through our most cherished responsibility the education of our children we want to renew and revitalize the dignity of and the harmony amongst Oneida people. We feel this will provide balance and guidance in strengthening the relationships amongst our elders, our families, and our youth. We feel this will also provide us the vision and purpose for contributing more effectively to the betterment of the Oneida community and Humankind.

Each Oneida student should be able to:

Set his or her Oneida heritage in perspective to meet challenges in fulfilling their potential in the Oneida community.

Develop patterns of thinking and feeling which will enable each student to have a positive self-image, reflective of the meanings of Oneida culture. This will enable them to plan for and design the future life, in which the Oneida way is reflected and cherished.

Meet the challenges of the community and implement the necessary leadership for the exercise of Oneida sovereignty.
