About Us:
The Ottawa Art League was established in 1967 by a group of artists from the Illinois Valley Area. It is a non-profit organization. The Ottawa Art League has a mission to cultivate and promote a greater interest in art and also encourages the exchange of ideas, knowledge and experience among both professional and amateur artists.
The Ottawa Art League meets the first Wednesday of each month in downtown Ottawa except for June & December. The OAL draws members from across LaSalle, Livingston, Putnam, Bureau, DeKalb, Lee, Grundy and Kendall counties.
The Ottawa Art League conducts meetings for the presentation and discussion of knowledge and techniques for the improvement of amateur art. The OAL arranges local competitions for amateur and youth artists in the community and offers awards and prizes for the purpose of encouraging contributions to art.

Examples include: Oils, acrylics, watercolors, graphite, charcoal, pen & ink, pastels, printmaking, photography, wood-carving, ceramics, sculpture, fiber-art, stained glass, blown glass, fused glass, metals and jewelry.
