Philanthropic Reach: Since 1938 the San Carlos Lions Club has been raising money for a variety of community and youth programs. Each year the club donates in excess of $20,000 annually from the proceeds of events like Parade Your Pride, Community Crab Feed and Tri-Tip dinners, Hometown Days concession stands and individual donations. The Parade Your Pride Car show was begun in 2009 by 50 energetic San Carlos Lions whose "Can Do" attitudes convert into results. Parade Your Pride Car Show celebrates classic cars, vintage cars, fun cars, motorcycles, green vehicles and unconventional methods of travel. The Lions' spirit of leadership and volunteers, pride of the entrants and the growing attendance has created an event with a birght future. The Parade Your Pride Car Show provides a non-juried venue for entrants to showcase their prized vehicles and to complete for fun. The show encourages new car enthusiasts to start collecting, restoring or simply appreciating celebrated and/or favorite cars.
