Who We Are :
Peoples Presbyterian Church has been serving God's community in Milan, Michigan since 1878. As part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), Peoples is part of a religious denomination known for its open dialogue, scriptural heritage, and form of governance closely matching our national government. Each church in the denomination, however, reflects the people who are a part of that particular community of faith, and we are no exception. This congregation of 233 members has a strong musical heritage represented today in its vocal choirs, handbell choir, and praise band; an open and questioning Christian Education program for both adults and children; a membership care focus represented by the Board of Deacons established early in 1998; active youth groups, and a style of worship that incorporates both traditional and contemporary elements. The sermons preached are grounded in scripture but are practically applied and spiced with real-life stories and issues. The members of Peoples Presbyterian Church are not afraid to question our role in the world or dialogue in a way that deepens our spiritual understanding.
