The Poolesville Area Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization committed to the promotion and advancement of the general welfare and prosperity of the Poolesville Area, its citizens, and its business community.

The Poolesville Area encompasses the upper western region of Montgomery County, Maryland, including the towns of Barnesville, Beallsville, Boyds, Comus, Dawsonville, Dickerson, Jerusalem, Martinsburg, Poolesville, and Seneca and their surrounding areas.

Our business services include providing businesses with marketing opportunities through the Poolesville Area Community and Business Directory, spearheading the "Buy Local" program, marketing the Poolesville Area on both a state wide and regional basis, encouraging the Heritage Tourism initiative, monitoring of government actions affecting business,
such as the Poolesville Six-Year Master Plan, and providing networking opportunities for Chamber members.

Our community services include publication of the Poolesville Area Community and Business Directory, provision of a Welcome Kit to new Area residents, sponsorship of the Poolesville Day 5K Race and an annual golf tournament, awards of college scholarships to Area high school students, contributions to the WUMCO assistance project, and support to the Poolesville High School Post Prom Party and to the 4th of July fireworks.

Our operations are managed by a 12-person Board of Directors, which represents businesses of different types and sizes, and by a full-time staff member. Volunteers from the Chamber contribute to our operations and success as well.
