The Annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, or "PIT", is the nations oldestamatuer basketball tournament showcasing 64 of the top college seniors for the upcoming NBA Draft.  PIT is highly recognized by the NBA and top European basketball teams as the premier showcase for future professional basketball players. Over 500 NBA & European representatives including scouts, agents, player personnel, media, and coaches attend PIT. They come to preview 64 of the best "by inviational only" basketball seniors in the country. 

PIT includes future NBA draft picks, NBA Development League players and future overseas players. Games are played in Portsmouth, Virginia from April 8-11, 2015. NBA players who are alumni of the Portsmouth Invitational include Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, John Stockton, Tim Hardaway, Ben Wallace, Avery Johnson, Rick Barry, Dave Cowens, Jeremy Lin, Wesley Matthews, and Earl Monroe.
