The 5,000 square foot Plain Dealing Library expansion opened in June 2003, and it provides space for 25 years of growth. No additional taxes are needed to build or operate the expanded library!! The library is officially named the "Rita S. Keoun Memorial Plain Dealing Branch" after Rita Sanders Keoun of Plain Dealing who served on the Library Board for over 40 years. Plain Dealing has had a branch since 1941. A new Plain Dealing Branch opened in 1987 built onto the original small library constructed in 1959. Children's videos are available at Plain Dealing Library. Linda Stanford has been Branch Librarian since 1979.
