About Us
The Round Lake Library was established in 1897 by WRLIS, the Woman's Round Lake Improvement Society, a not-for-profit organization comprised of men and women from the community who sponsor activities to improve the village. The group's primary goal is to support and maintain the library. The library celebrated its Centennial in 1997.
The library is chartered by the New York State Education Department Board of Regents to serve the Village of Round Lake and the Town of Malta.

Round Lake Library provides equal opportunity access to information, high quality book and multimedia materials, programs, exhibits, and online resources to meet the needs of our diverse community, supporting lifelong learning, cultural enrichment and intellectual stimulation.
To fulfill its mission, the Round Lake Library, supported by the Board of Trustees and the Women’s Round Lake Improvement Society, employs a knowledgeable well-trained staff committed to excellent service.
