Mission
The mission of the Seaford Elementary family is to provide a nurturing environment that offers a quality educational program which promotes the intellectual, physical, and emotional development of all students.
History
Seaford Elementary opened its doors in 1963 in the picturesque Seaford area of historic York County, Virginia. The school building currently houses 26 classrooms, a cafeteria, library, gym, clinic, art, music, and computer resource rooms. In addition, the 19.6 acre tree-lined campus features several outdoor play areas, a baseball diamond, soccer/football field, and basketball courts. A staff of 32 teachers, two administrators, and 17 support personnel are committed to providing a high quality educational experience for all Seaford Elementary students. SES is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Virginia Department of Education. Beginning with this school year, all SES classrooms are now fully infused with technology and high-speed internet access is available in all classrooms.
