About Us:
The Sequim City Band is a crown jewel of our community. A traditional community concert band, we were established in 1992 and have grown to 60+ members from all over the Olympic Peninsula. All musicians are welcome to join! Skill levels of the members vary from high school experience to retired professional musicians. Members range in age from 14 to 84. The band’s repertoire includes marches (its library includes every Sousa march ever written), Broadway and Movie music, big band swing and jazz arrangements, classic band literature, and patriotic tunes – a bit of something for everyone.
The Band built a state of the art outdoor performance stage for the City of Sequim in the Water Reuse Demonstration Park, just north of Carrie Blake Park in 2005. Monthly concerts in the park are given by the City Band on the third Sunday of each month from May through September at 3:00pm. The Band also performs indoor concerts in March and October, and plays Christmas Carols while awaiting Santa’s arrival in Sequim on the Saturday after Thanksgiving as well as other community events.
