About Us:

The historic Settlers House is a small family home that was lived in by a series of working class families over the course of its long history. Built around 1867, the building survived the Great Holland Fire of 1871 and was continuously lived in until the 1990s. Today, the home has been restored to how it would have appeared in 1871.

Tours begin at the Cappon House Visitor Center. Admission to the Settlers House gains access to the Cappon House as well. Both the Cappon House and Settlers House are open seasonally from mid-May-September. During that time, the houses are open Fridays and Saturdays, with guided tours offered every hour. The first tour of the day begins at 11:00 a.m. and the last at 4:00 p.m. Admission is $5.00 per person; Holland Museum members are free.

Street parking is available along 10th Street, Washington Avenue, and on the north side of 9th Street.
