We offer an assortment of certified organic vegetables grown on our farm as well as non organic connecticut grown sweet corn and seasonal fruit. You may opt out of any non organic produce and we will supplement with more of our own produce. We grow many different types of greens, tomatoes, squash, cukes, peppers, eggplant, beets, beans, carrots, peas, potatoes, leeks, herbs,cabbage and more. Baskets will contain five to six or more different types of vegetable and fruits for pick up each week. We also send out a newsletter each week with tips for cooking and keeping your veggies and whats to come via email.
Shortts Farm is a USDA certified organic vegetable farm. Our farm store is open from May to October everyday. We sell many different types of vegetables including hard to find heriloom varieties. We also sell everything you need to grow your own food including vegetable seedlings, blueberry and raspberry plants and fruit trees. Compost by the bag or in bulk is also available at the farm.
