About Us:

Since 1978, the American Dance Academy has proudly served the tri-county area. The Academy offers a complete curriculum of courses ranging from pre-school through pre-professional dance. Our primary interest is to offer specialized training in the traditional as well as contemporary performing arts.

The American Dance Academy’s students have won many outstanding dance awards, university scholarships (including NYU, University of Mich., Michigan State, Wayne State University, Alma, Central Michigan University, Interlochen, and Blue Lake) and went on to dance professionally in ballet companies and theatre. Among the hundreds auditioned, our student was selected as the first Clara to perform at the Fox Theatre at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes. We have students accepted for training with both the American Ballet Theatre and the Joffrey Ballet – both in Detroit and New York City on scholarship.

Our students have won the prestigious awards of Petite Miss Dance of America, Junior Miss Dance of Michigan, Miss Dance of Michigan, Junior Mr. Dance and Mr. Dance of Michigan. They have performed with the Cincinnati Ballet, Ballet International, the Moscow Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet and many Nutcracker Performances.

Students are working and traveling with Carnival and Celebrity Cruises and in Las Vegas. Other students have appeared on TV and work in modeling careers in Detroit, Chicago, and New York.

American Dance Academy has traveled across the United States performing and competing. We believe all of our students should have these exceptional opportunities to learn and share experiences through dance. American Dance Academy has been invited to perform at Disney World in Florida numerous times, as well as the International Youth Festival in Europe.

Individual attention and development of a student’s abilities and progress by an experienced, professional teacher are very important factors in the proper training and success of any dancer. We are devoted to excellence and uncompromising dedication to performing art education.
