On November 6 1868, a council was called to consider organizing a regular Baptist Church. With delegates being present Rev. T. Price was chosen moderator and C. C. Winters secretary. Sixty-five members of the Mill Creek Baptist Church of Ostrander were dismissed by letter for the purpose of establishing a Church at Springdale. The Trustees of the Milcreek Church on May 24, 1866 had purchased a quarter of an acre of land, from Charles and Mary Nichols for the sum of $90.00, for as long as they might want to use and occupy the same for church purposes. The Church was organized and a one room meeting house was erected. Our present church was build in 1901 and dedicated in 1902
