Our farm is located on an ancient lake bed providing us with fertile, nutrient rich soil. Squash Blossom Farm grows Heirloom and Organic Greens, Vegetables,Flowers and Medicinal Plants and follows a "No Dig" method once beds are worked. We incorporate compost , mulch and cover crops to maintain a healthy, balanced growing medium. We are a low impact farm working our gardens by hand and practicing companion planting, crop rotation and growing plants for beneficial insect. We continually try to extend our growing season with our hoop houses and greenhouse and starting our seeds indoors under lights in February. We are offering a handful of shares for the 2011 Growing Season A Veggie Share is $500 and due by Feb 20th 2011 Food will be provided for 20 weeks. Expect cool and warm weather heirloom crops, winter squashes and herbs.
