In November of 2001, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church began regular, public worship services at Linganore High School. It now meets at the American Legion Post 191 (801 Prospect Road, Mount Airy, 21771). The church continues to grow because of a group of committed, energetic laypeople. Many of them are new to church; some went to church as a child and didn’t return until recently; a few have always gone to church and continue to seek a deeper relationship with God.

As much as any gift they contribute to the church, the Meltons bring with them the vision of a church dedicated to “living life as it’s meant to be."

In a Spring 2004 church-wide visioning process, we identified these Four Values for St. Andrew's:

Relational - people-oriented
Authentic - sincerely intentional, yet relaxed
Loving - witnessing Christ "in us"
Prayerful - ever-dialoguing with our Triune (Father/Son/Spirit) God
