Worship
God is still speaking, and we are responding, as we join together in worship. All are welcome to join us for any of our services.
Sunday Worship Service
Worship begins at 10 a.m. each Sunday.
Sunday morning worship has a somewhat traditional feel to it. The flow of service generally remains the same from week to week – although, each week will bring its own emphasis and theme in music, liturgy, and message. In addition to the pastor’s message, our Sunday service includes a short children’s sermon. The choir leads the congregation in song. Special music is often provided by our wonderful handbell choir.
Communion
Communion, which is served on the first Sunday of each month, is brought to participants while they remain seated in the pews. The bread is distributed first, followed by the wine (or grape juice, for those who prefer). As each of the elements are distributed, participants hold the bread or wine until all have been served, and then the congregation partakes together at one time, as one body. Communion is open to any and all. No one is excluded from our communion table. We believe that Jesus welcomed all to his table, therefore we will exclude no one. Anyone who wishes to experience the presence of Christ in their lives is welcome to share in communion at St. Peter’s Church.
Special Services
Special services are held throughout the year to celebrate and mark special occasions on the church calendar, such as Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas Eve.
