Despite our geographic isolation and limited resources, Tahquamenon Area Schools strives to provide our students with an excellent education. 

Tahquamenon Area Schools(TAS) is located in Newberry, Michigan. Part of the Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District (E.U.P.I.S.D.), TAS is geographically, the largest school district east of the Mississippi River covering, 1,524 square miles. The district's two schools are Newberry Elementary (PK-6) and Newberry High School (7-12).   Student enrollment is approximately 715. Transportation is provided by the district to all students who live outside the village of Newberry.
