The primary task of the TUMC is to create, empower and energize disciples of Jesus Christ – people who minister to the souls they encounter, deepening their relationships with God through mission and ministry in the community and the world.

Founded in 1915, The Teaneck United Methodist Church upholds the tradition that all men and women are created equal, regardless of race, color or ethnic origin. It is a place where friends and neighbors can worship, enjoy fellowship, and give praise to God.

It is also a place where members of the church serve God. Members are invited to participate in all aspects of church life, from administration of church programs to singing in the choir, from reading scriptures during services to assisting as lay ministers.
