The Gila River Arts & Crafts, Inc., was incorporated by the Gila River Indian Community in 1970, as a tribal non-profit corporation. The purposes of our incorporation were two fold; to provide employment for Pima and Maricopa tribal members, in the operation of our gift shop, restaurant and museum(s). Secondly, to promote the making of and sale of authentic Indian crafts or activities conducive to such an environment, as well as to inform the general public as to our culture.

In the course of our operations we provide a friendly, family oriented educational experience that includes the sale of authentic Indian crafts from tribes throughout the southwest. Our complete menu restaurant serves an assortment of food including delicious Indian fry bread. Educational information on our Community is exhibited through our "Museum of the Gila River Indian Community" and "Gila heritage Park" (six recreated villages, story boards etc.) Our museum contains information of the Japanese Interment Camp and Mormon Trail, as well as other historical events and activities that occurred here on the Gila River Indian Community. Several prominent people of the Community, such as Ira Hayes, are also featured in display materials. Currently no admission fees are charged but donations are gratefully accepted.

You can easily do self-guided tours of our facilities and activities, but we also offer several options for groups by prior arrangement. Special menu's and rates are available (and recommended for groups of 20 or more) in our restaurant. We have outdoor patio seating for large groups up to 400. Otherwise, please note:
