The Mary L. Cook Public Library and Wilmington College, a Quaker school, in Wilmington, Ohio are the co-sponsors of the annual Quaker Genealogy & History Conference. The conference is dedicated to researching local Quaker history in southwest Ohio and the Quaker families involved in the events. The conference is a three to four day event at the end of April.
This past April, The Mary L. Cook Public Library, because of our work on anti-slavery and the Underground Railroad, was inducted into the Freedom Stations Program of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati.
Our theme this past year was Anti-Slavery ~ Taking a Risk for Freedom (2007). The schedule for that past event can be found at:

During the 2008 conference there will be three days of presentations and the fourth day, Sunday, will be dedicated to a field trip to see the historical sites we have researched during the year.
