About Us
The foundation was established by Victor and Joe in 1989 for the purpose of providing charitable and educational opportunities as a means of showing support and gratitude to the community of Schulenburg, its people and model airplane enthusiasts everywhere.
The Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum opened for public viewing in March 1999, featuring interactive exhibits and over 30 static displays showing life's work of Victor and Joe. The hobbyists-turned-entrepreneurs revolutionized model airplane designs and control line flying with 25 patents including mono-line control systems. Among the airplanes on display, you'll see the original 1939 Tiger Shark, the first control line model airplane kit in the world.
