A developmentally appropriate place to learn is one that not only knows what students need to learn, but also a place that provides the most effective timing, sequence, environment to learn those skills.
School is a place that uses content to practice and enhance the skills taught by the family. A total education is not fully realized unless home and school are connected throughout the process.
The skills to read or write, add and subtract, dance or draw, and collecting data, only give you information. Developing tools to use those skills, in a variety of ways, creates communicators, mathematicians, scientists, and artists.
