The Town of Brule has a population of 607 people. It is located in the northwestern part of the state of Wisconsin about 35 miles east of Superior, WI. Click here for a detailed map.
The town was named after the Brule River, also known as the "River of Presidents" because Coolidge, Cleveland, Hoover and Eisenhower came to fish for trout and stay on the river at Cedar Island Lodge. Trout are plentiful, and April begins the season opener.
