The TOWN OF SUNDERLAND was incorporated November 12, 1718 and is located at the southern end of Franklin County. It borders the towns of Whately, Deerfield, Montague, Leverett, Amherst and Hadley. The Town's 2010 census population was 3,684. Sunderland is 14.78 square miles and its elevation is 137.121 feet above sea level.
