The Tri-Lakes area is named for its three lakes in Woodmoor, Monument and Palmer Lake and includes a number of other communities from Larkspur in Douglas County to the north and El Paso County communities to the south including the US Air Force Academy, Gleneagle and Black Forest. We are centered approximately 20 miles north of Colorado Springs and 40 miles south of Denver.
The entire region from hilly grasslands to pine forests, magnificent mountains and lots of sunshine all contribute to an exceptional quality of life. We have approximately 250 days of sunshine with a nice seasonal balance of dry air with moderate winters and mild summers.
Trails for horse back riding, hiking and biking are numerous. A sixteen mile stretch of the Santa Fe Trail extends from Palmer Lake to the south entrance of the Air Force Academy. The Greenland trailhead winds through rolling grasslands, past ponds, through oak scrublands and pines where fox and deer are frequently seen. Other outdoor activities include golf with four scenic golf courses and a spectacular view of the mountains.
