The Tyrone Area Historical Society operates as an archive and museum celebrating the rich history of Tyrone, Pennsylvania and the surrounding area. Since its founding in 1990, the Tyrone Area Historical Society has pledged itself to preserving, interpreting, and encouraging community interest in the unique history of the Tyrone area to ensure that present and future generations can share in and understand their rich heritage.
