The Christian church is a non-denominational fellowship of Christians, bound together by faith in the Word of God and by a desire for the unity of all followers of Christ. The Bible alone is our rule of faith and practice. Our plea for Christian unity is a return to the pattern of Christianity found in the New Testament. We seek to build the Church of our Lord as it is revealed in the New Testament, without man-made additions or subtractions. Where the Scriptures speak, we speak. Where the Scriptures are silent, we are silent. We observe the ordinances of Christian baptism (by immersion) and the Lord's Supper, as they are revealed in the New Testament. In the essentials of God's Word, we seek unity. In matters of opinion, we encourage liberty. In all things, we strive to practice love.
We have been blessed to be part of this congregation since August of 2003. If you are looking for a church in the Jackson, Banks, and Hall areas, We invite you to look over our website and feel free to email me your questions.
Of course, we would love to have you attend our worship service as well. We meet for corporate worship each Sunday morning at 11:00. We also offer Bible school for all ages each Sunday morning at 9:45. On Sunday nights at 6:00, we offer Bible studies for teens and adults and classes for children. On Wednesday nights at 7:00, we have choir for children and a smaller group Bible study for teens and adults. You can find a list of study topics on this site.
Throughout the year, UCC also has many opportunities to fellowship and build relationships. These include our Annual Church Picnic at Hurricane Shoals Park, Fifth Sunday Rallies, Fall Festival, and our annual church-wide Christmas Dinner. For our teens and children, we have Vacation Bible School every summer. We also encourage our kids to participate in summer camp at North Georgia Christian Camp in Clarkesville. In addition, teens and children participate in numerous “off-campus” events during the year.
There are other areas to participate in as well. We have six ministry teams that we encourage people to use their gifts and skills in service to the Lord and His Church. There are also fellowship groups for men and women. All of these opportunities help to make Unity a healthy family.
