Our History:
In June of 2000, several people desired to begin a new church in the Lord.
That very same week a local bar, The Junction, previously known as Good Time Charlie's, was to be sold. Church pilgrims obtained first refusal on the property and a meeting was scheduled. An offer was made on the building and three acres of land surrounding the building.
The group of believers met that Saturday night at Deep Run Fire Department to discuss the offer. It was overwhelmingly accepted! A church planting had begun.
After several business meetings and much hard labor, Unity Free Will Baptist Church became a reality with 64 charter members. We celebrated our first Sunday worship service on July 16, 2000. Three years later we celebrated that anniversary by transitioning from the "bar" to our new sanctuary.
God is an awesome God and He has been so good to us and He continues to be. It is only by His power, will and might that Unity exists today.
If you don't have a church, or are looking for a church home, we would like to invite you to become a part of the church today and a piece of its history tomorrow.
