History:
Voice of Faith, with Alan Hopper as Pastor, began meeting in the local school gymnasium in 1997, moving into the school cafateria as the summer temperatures rose.
As the attendance grew, they went from the gym to a local carpet store, where as Pastor Hopper said "If you come in late, you may have to sit on a roll of carpet". From the carpet store they moved into a house where the Pastor had to stand in a doorway to see all of the people seated in three rooms of the home, (It was time to build a church).
In September of 1999, the church building on Grapevine road was complete and the congregation of approximatly 50 moved in. In 2002 the building was added onto as attendance grew.
After seven years, with an average attendance of 200+, they have outgrown the present facility and are making plans for a new sanctuary with space for additional classrooms.
Vision :
The vision of Voice of Faith includes reaching out to others with love, regardless of race, class or gender, and breaking down walls of separation within the body of Christ.
