The focus of the festival is to present performances, exhibits and activities that attract and a broad cross-section of age, socio-economic and ethnically diverse residents in Tuscaloosa and its outlying areas as well as visiting tourists with a primary focus on the youth community.
WAMA Fest offers a culturally aware and diverse event to give Tuscaloosa a unique blend of ethnic art, culture, and history. The festival serves as a conduit for promoting and perpetuating the art, culture, and history of Tuscaloosa, with a focus on the African American community.
