The Wellston Coal Festival is held the Tuesday thru Saturday after Labor Day on the downtown streets to celebrate Wellston’s rich coal mining heritage. We offer a Karaoke Contest that pays $1000.00 to the winner, Coal Miner Olympics, a Wednesday parade and a Saturday Grand Parade, Baby and Toddler Contests, Car and motorcycle Show, Youth Day activities, line dancing, Free entertainment nightly featuring popular Nashville entertainers. Rides, games, great food and down home hospitality.
