About
One of the key characteristics of a caring community is how it provides for its senior citizens. The Town of Wheatland Senior Center is located in the Wheatland Municipal Building at 22 Main Street in Scottsville and is designed specifically for the enjoyment and leisure of the mature adult population, ages 60 years and above (and their spouse of any age).
What services does the Senior Center offer?
Recreational, social, educational and health-related programs, activities and services are offered in a warm and friendly environment that are intended to help senior citizens maintain their independence in the community. This includes a lunchtime hot meal program. A monthly News Letter highlights upcoming schedule of activities. See Senior Center FAQs for answers to common inquiries.
The Senior Center is funded through a combination of participant contributions, the United States Administration on Aging, the New York State Office for the Aging, Monroe County Office for the Aging and the Town of Wheatland. No person shall be denied benefits of the Senior Center or subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal Assistance on the grounds of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability or marital status.
