“Over the last 20 years, Barnabas has evolved from just being companions in crisis to now becoming partners empowering community members with opportunities for growth and self-sufficiency”, Executive Director Kate Sowell

In October 2021, the dream of owning a building became a reality, and in August of 2023, Barnabas Connection opened its Clinical Services Program. As of May 2024, it has contracted with three clinicians to provide mental health services and employs a part-time bilingual Admin and a Case Manager. Barnabas Clinical Services’ program exists to provide quality, low-cost mental health services to the Wimberley Community. The goal is not to turn anyone away due to a lack of financial resources, and while the target population includes those who are uninsured or underinsured, all community members can access services.

LET’S CELEBRATE
What better way to celebrate our 20th anniversary than with a two-day music fest featuring so many of our fine Texas musical talents and where we already know how to have fun, The Wimberley VFW Fairgrounds?    Twelve musical acts, from folk to country and from rock to gospel.  Lots of good food and drink to go along with the music.  What better way

to host a significant fundraising event that will allow Barnabas Connection to take its service to the Wimberley Valley and take it to an even higher level.

As we turn 20, we Celebrate each and every one of you who has made such a difference for Barnabas and the Wimberley Valley.
