What We Do

Unlike any other youth service organization in Eagle County, we provide and support programs that serve economically disadvantaged youth from pre-school through college. The common theme in all of our efforts is that we jump in to not only keep kids from “falling through the cracks,” but lift them up through education, sports and opportunities for character development. As we say, we offer “A Hand Up,” not a handout.

How We Do It

We’re very successful at leveraging talent and community resources. While we currently have a full-time staff of three, we contract with local teachers and other youth service professionals to deliver high quality services like the bookmobile, after school access to computer labs for kids and their parents, and an academic soccer program that runs the full length of the school year. During the summer, we give kids opportunities to stay engaged and challenged through our Summer Options programs.

We monitor all the programs that we’re involved in for successful outcomes and cost-effective delivery. This on-going analysis helps us adjust to kids needs and develop new programs to meet new challenges. Because we have such close ties with the Eagle County Schools we’re able to identify and intensively work with children who might all too easily be overlooked.
