Largo High School's Mission is to be the top performing school in Prince George's County within three years. Largo High school will be one of the premier high schools in the State of Maryland. Our mission for student achievement is primarily focused on curriculum and instruction. Largo High School is committed to instituting practices that include but not limited to curriculum and instruction based on Maryland Content Standards, Maryland Learning Outcomes and Core Learning Goals per discipline, differentiated instruction to meet individual student needs; assessment on a regular basis to guide and monitor instruction, 90 minute uninterrupted blocks for teaching, systematic interventions appropriate for struggling readers at each level, a curriculum design model reflecting current research best practices in instruction, and an on-going array of professional development workshops for staff development training in order to raise professional expertise in each discipline at Largo High School.
