Williamsburg Choral Guild: “Experience the Emotion” NOTE NEW VENUE: Warhill High School Auditorium, Williamsburg For the fall concert of its 35th Anniversary Season, the Guild, under the direction of Conductor-Artistic Director Jay BeVille, will present classical works that are known and loved for their beautiful melodies. Featuring outstanding soloists (soprano Lisa Edwards-Burrs, mezzo-soprano Robynne Redmon, tenor Kenneth Wood and baritone Christopher Mooney), a 26-piece chamber orchestra, harpist Anastasia Jellison and the Warhill Chamber Choir, the program includes Bach’s Cantata 147, Brahms’s Alto Rhapsody, Britten’s Ceremony of Carols and the “Kyrie” and “Gloria” from Beethoven’s Mass in C, Op. 86. Continuing with its popular pre-concert discussions, the Guild introduces Sterling Murray, Ph.D., a specialist in the music of the eighteenth century. The lecture will begin at 3:00 p.m., followed by the performance in the Warhill High School Auditorium, 4615 Opportunity Way, Williamsburg.
