Amy earned her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Exercise Science and Kinesiology from Central Michigan University (Mount Pleasant, MI) in 2007. She completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Oakland University (Rochester, MI) in 2010.
Amy is board certified in neurologic physical therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists, is a certified stroke rehabilitation specialist, a certified fall prevention specialist, and has additional expert training in vestibular rehabilitation, pelvic health, critical care, and has a certificate in visual-optometric rehabilitation. She is currently working on her certification for pelvic floor rehabilitation and spearheaded the pediatric pelvic health program at Oaklawn along with her colleague, Sarah Hook.
Amy is passionate about her areas of expertise and is a strong advocate for lifelong learning in her profession. She has guest lectured at Oakland University, Central Michigan University, and in symposiums for other medical professionals in the areas of differential diagnosis for physical therapists, vestibular rehabilitation, and pelvic health. She is active in community education and works in strong partnership with her patients to achieve their functional goals and improve quality of life.
