Dr. Cathia Vazquez is a primary care sports medicine physician in the Marina del Rey immediate care office. Her clinical interest includes injury prevention, joint injections, and minimally invasive ultrasound-guided procedures. She is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine.
Dr. Vazquez received her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at USC and completed her family medicine residency at UCLA. She then completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Kaiser Permanente. In addition to her clinical work, she has provided sports physicals to UCLA athletes and provided medical services at the Los Angeles World Special Olympics and the Oceanside Half Ironman.
Dr. Vazquez is a native Angeleno who grew up with five siblings in an underserved urban neighborhood. She spent her childhood immersed in sports and later majored in kinesiology studies as an undergraduate. In her free time, Dr. Vazquez enjoys physical activities including running, hiking, yoga, and gardening. She also likes to spend time with friends and family, discovering new cuisines and restaurants, and exploring Los Angeles and beyond.
