Dakota J. Yeaster earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science and his master’s degree of science in physician assistant studies from Central Michigan University. He also attended Jackson College for emergency medical services training and Hillsdale Fire Academy for firefighter I & II hazardous material operations training.
His clinical experience includes urgent care for patients of all ages, wound care and closure, excision of skin lesions, biopsies, administration and interpretation of EKG’s and stress tests, joint injections, and as an emergency medical technician. Yeaster’s clinical rotations included mental and behavioral health, pediatric medicine, family medicine, women’s health, internal medicine, general surgery, emergency medicine, and cardiology.
Yeaster is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants. He also holds a controlled substance license and controlled substances registration certificate. He joined Oaklawn in 2022.
